How we authenticate Valentino
The studs are the primary check: on authentic pieces they are individually set with consistent spacing, uniform pyramid geometry and a plating finish that matches across every stud on the bag. We then read the interior stamp and serial against the production era, examine stitch density around the stud lines, check zip branding and edge painting, and confirm hardware weight. Our authentication partners support each assessment, and a final inspection is completed at least 48 hours before shipment.
Condition, honestly graded
Stud plating rubs at the corners and base first, and light-coloured leathers pick up transfer. We photograph every stud line and state missing, loosened or replated studs plainly in the condition grade.
