How we authenticate Gucci
We start with the interior serial tag — authentic Gucci tags carry the style and supplier codes on two clean lines with correct spacing and no bleed. We check the heat stamp and the trademark symbols, the engraving depth on hardware and the interlocking GG for correct overlap and gap. On canvas pieces we look at print registration and repeat alignment across panels; on matelassé we count stitches per chevron. Entrupy, Authentic First and Real Authentication support the verification, and a final inspection runs at least 48 hours before shipment.
Condition, honestly graded
Gucci's lighter leathers and canvas trims show handle darkening and corner rub before anything else, so those are the first things we photograph. Interior condition, zip pull function, hardware plating and any refurbishment are stated in the grade.
