How we authenticate Alexander McQueen
The skull and knuckle hardware carries the detail counterfeits miss: casting sharpness at the eye sockets and teeth, consistent plating across every element, correct weight in the hand, and secure mounting with no adhesive at the base. We read the interior stamp and serial against the production era, examine stitch density and edge painting, and check zip branding and lining. Our authentication partners support each assessment, with a final inspection at least 48 hours before shipment.
Condition, honestly graded
Plating on the hardware is the first thing to go, and structured box bags show corner knocks. Both are photographed and stated in the condition grade, along with interior condition and any missing elements.
